Texocal: to go tripping with TT in Texas, locally. Pronounced: TEX O CULL. Put the emphasis on the O. Now, use it in a sentence please.
So Susie, I am SO SORRY I can't come to your (insert event here), I am going Texocal. If you say it in a Valley Girl accent, it almost sounds like Texocal means CRAZY--like--LOCO.
I recently went with my Husband to a lovely little Bed and Breakfast in Comfort, Texas. Here's the thing about Comfort. It's one of those really little towns that you typically cruise right past on your way to somewhere else BIGGER.
Don't get off the road too soon and go to Welfare. Stay the course and Comfort will come! (That is a whole different blog post right there)
I began to get really excited for this weekend getaway. The fact that I ended up taking an unplanned trip to Bermuda right before it made it even more special. I had been gone for 10 days and really missed my Man. Our reservation was for right after Valentines Day. I don't celebrate that DAY on the Holiday that the World says we should. I try and celebrate it EVERY day. Having a weekend celebration AFTER the HoliDAY was over seemed appropriate! It also happened to be a real holiday on Monday for my Husband. Being able to stay on Saturday and Sunday night for just the price of Saturday was a Bonus. The "free night" could only be used Sunday through Thursday. It was going to be PERFECT!!!!
I pulled in the driveway, hopped out of the car, brought my dirty clothes from my Bermuda trip in and grabbed some clean ones, threw them in a bag, grabbed my Honey and took off! WOO HOO! Comfort here we come!
That is the complete sense that I felt while here. There was a lovely chicken coop that I visited in the morning. These chickens were spoiled and living the high life themselves!
We paid for our stay ourselves and were treated like Royal Family. My opinions are ALWAYS my own and completely honest. My integrity, honesty and core values are NOT situational or based on compensation.
