On 21 February 2013, I created my website, started my blog and joined twitter. I had no idea what I would be doing exactly 1 year later. I'm not someone that likes to have parties for myself. The fact that my Birthday is on Christmas makes this easy for me. I get to just focus on HIM. He is the one worth celebrating. EVERYDAY! So when I realized that my 1 year Anniversary was going to be on a day I already had plans, I was really happy! I had signed up to Volunteer at a Women of Faith Event in Houston and received confirmation of my acceptance about a month prior. THIS was going to be PERFECT! What could be better than being surrounded by thousands of Faithful Women on my special day?
NOTHING!
Since my website and blog was started primarily to inspire Women, being with Women that inspire me was going to be the BEST ANNIVERSARY PRESENT ever! Well, the Good Lord (aka---My BOSS) likes to spoil me. I'm not sure why he Loves me so much, but I just try and show gratitude and Thank Him every day for his blessings. In his normal "You think that is Good, wait till I show you the WHOLE plan" way, he decided to kick it up a notch (all Emerill Lagasse style) and go
BAM!
The day before the Event, I woke up feeling sick. My Grandmother had been admitted to the Hospital earlier in the week with a stomach virus and I had been with her and exposed. It seemed as though I was coming down with it. I promptly told the Devil that I wasn't playing with him and said I would allow only that day to be sick. I would rest, drink fluids and stay in bed to recover. I WOULD NOT BE SICK when I woke up the next morning. I prayed to God for his healing, Thanked him for my "mandatory time out/rest period" and hopped on Facebook to ask for some additional prayer from my Warriors. It's like a Solo Singer is great, but when you add the back up singers and musicians, it becomes AWESOME. Calling on your Prayer People just turns a simple song into a Praise and Worship Party!
One of my dear friends Anna, responded in a private message that she was supposed to volunteer at this event but had car issues and wasn't going to be able to go. I asked if she wanted to ride with me. I would love her company and I was determined to be better by morning. We worked out the details and it was settled! FIRST road trip with my Sweet Sister Anna was going to be AWESOME! She is the Leader of the San Antonio Chapter of Christian Women's Small Business Association. I have only met her twice (at monthly events) but knew we were Soul Sisters and needed to spend more time together. This trip and event was going to be the perfect opportunity. YAY JESUS!

Since I am trying to get this post done and published before I leave for Church this morning, I am going to cut it short and just say our 3 hours on the road together was like a lifetime. We shared so much great conversation and took turns inspiring each other and just basking in Gods Grace. My Anniversary was truly Glorious and started with a Fantastic Joy Ride with Anna. Once we stopped driving, the JOY RIDE just took OFF and we were catapulted into a state of complete Sensory Overload in the BEST way! Thank You Women of Faith, Lakewood Church, Chelsea (my Volunteer Team Leader), and my entire team of co-Volunteers for making my special day so SPECIAL!
