We have spent a day in London, a day in Paris, a day at Sea, a day in Edinburgh, Scotland, and a day in Invergordon, Scotland. We have seen Big Ben, driven over the Tower Bridge, taken pictures at the Eiffel Tower, seen Magical Castles in Edinburgh and sailed on Loch Ness looking for a Monster. If each day alone was all we had, it would be MORE than enough.
One of our friends that has never been on a cruise before said to us once “I could never be trapped on a Ship for a week”. Well, you can trap THIS Princess ANYTIME and leave her on any Princess Ship for weeks! Being “trapped” on a floating resort with ALL the amenities you could ever want and MORE is my idea of a grand vacation. Friendly staff from all over the World greets you around every corner and ensures all your needs are met. There is wifi so I can work and do my social media connecting periodically. There is a Library, Shops, Mini Golf Course, Basketball, Ping Pong, Pools, Hot Tubs, several Lounges, a Theatre, a Casino, multiple dining venues including room service, the Lotus Spa, Fitness Center, Walking/Jogging Track, kids rooms, teenager rooms, video arcade, piazza with piano and coffee bar, outdoor movie screen, and so much more. Even if we didn’t take advantage of all of the shipboard amenities and just stayed in our cabin the whole time, we would have a wonderful, RELAXING vacation. Having a balcony means we can have private dining with our own view of the ocean or port or just sit and enjoy the sun with a good book (or eyes closed). Seriously, you can trap me here for the rest of my life and I would not ever ask to be let go! I look forward to the day when Hubby is retired and we can cruise on back to back itineraries and just sail the world together. As much as I love ALL kinds of travel, cruising is our favorite. It combines all our favorite elements and being surrounded by water just adds to the relaxation factor for us.
So as we enjoy our last day at Sea before hitting back to back ports for 6 days, I am not feeling any remorse that the cruise is half over. Some people see the glass as half empty, Some see it half full. For me, its always more than enough! On this wonderful 12 day #bicruiseruby adventure that includes #londonfranceriverdance, the party is not half over, it's just getting started!
