So, instead of listening to society tell you "Don't talk to strangers", why not listen to the Joyful Journeyist tell you to EMBRACE a stranger! If your comfort zone is so tightly locked up that you need to take baby steps to get out of it, start with a smile. Just make eye contact with someone you pass on the street or stand beside in line at the grocery store. Ease into a comfort zone that works for you, just don't stay in yours! Don't live with past rules that you have placed on living life because of what you were taught or what "the world" says is right. Create your own rules and live YOUR life FULL. Forget the fear in your gut (or mind), and go instead with the hope in your heart. We all share the planet together so we are all a family. Quit NOT doing things because of what someone might think. START doing things because of how you will feel!
I know we are all very busy, so I made a SHORT music video. It is only 3 and a half minutes long--that is about 210 seconds. In each of those seconds, there is a face. Behind each face is a heart. Inside of each heart is a story. These are the "strangers" I met in 2013. I took a moment and smiled at them. Then I took a few more moments and asked a simple question "Can I take your picture". I gave a brief explanation of who I am and where the picture could end up (ALL OVER CYBER LAND). All of these faces said "YES". They decided not to be a stranger anymore. They not only agreed to throw caution to the wind, they SMILED and laughed while doing it! The music is called "Hold Me" and it is by Jamie Grace (featuring Toby Mac). Because these people took a moment to let me in, they will forever hold a place in my heart. The lyrics seemed appropriate and the beat is happy. Enjoy!
